Repeating Patterns - AB Pattern
Repeating Patterns – AB Pattern
Repeating Patterns
A repeating pattern is a pattern where a group of items repeats
themselves continuously in a sequence.
Repeating AB Pattern
In an AB Pattern there are two objects that repeat over and over
again in the same order.
Object A is followed by Object B and Object B is followed by Object
A and this repeats itself over and over as shown below.
The image given below gives an examples of a repeating AB
pattern.
In the first row numbers ‘4’ and ‘8’ repeat over and over. 4 is
followed by 8 and then 8 is followed by 4 and this continues. It is
asked what should come after 4. 4 should be followed by 8 in this
example.
Another example is given below, in the pattern below the letters
“P” and “7” repeat themselves over and over again. P is followed by
7 which is then followed by P again and this continues.
P 7 P 7 P 7 P 7 P “?” “?”
What letters should come in place of “?” in the pattern
above?
In the above pattern, letters P and 7 are being repeated over and
over again. P is followed by 7 and 7 is followed by P again.
7 should come after P and then followed by 7 again.
P 7 P 7 P 7 P 7 P “7” “P”
The video above includes examples related to AB Pattern.
